Hello, my name is Patience Taba. Providing therapy and being dedicated to assisting individuals on their journey to mental health wellness has been my life’s passion. I offer therapy in a kind, respectful environment that allows the client to discover their feelings, their passions, and the direction of their life. Through therapy, I hope to assist each client on their journey toward creating the life of their heart’s desire. I want to support each client in identifying and accessing their life-given skills, gifts, talents, and coping skills they already have within them.

Through listening, offering different ways of seeing an issue, educating, informing, and challenging clients, I believe that clients have the opportunity to move forward past obstacles, towards their goals. Together we will identify goals for your treatment, identify challenges to achieving those goals, and work together in using a variety of interventions that will give you the tools to meet those goals.

Since 1992, I have been working in both private and public mental health sectors as both a licensed clinical social worker and a clinical supervisor to mental health professionals. I have worked in mental health, sexual abuse treatment, child welfare, adoptions (both public and private) and family therapy. My experience includes individual, couple, and group work with children, adults, couples, families and blended families with issues related to individual growth, relationships, life transitions, grief/loss, anxiety, depression, trauma, childhood abuse, codependency, anger, infertility, adoption issues, and parenting.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending my time doing the things that bring me the most joy and peace; spending time with my family, friends, pets, traveling, gardening, creating art, listening to music, and laughing (humor is so important), watching movies, reading, and always learning something new.
